[nflug] virtual linux on win200 server

Does anyone know the possible implications of running a virtual linux on 
  a Win2000 server.  I am having much trouble with our 2000 server it 
stopped doing what it is supposed to do (scheduled tasks died) I'm 
thinking if I can have linux running virtually on it I could solve a 
host of problems... suggestions??
