You probably can't tell what version it is if you buy it online. Pretty 
much every store has them for a reasonable price - just pick one up in 
person. Use the following guide to tell you what version it is.

Linksys/Cisco is going to vxworks for the embedded OS, but I don't know if 
those have made it to the stores yet.
