I have sendmail issues on a BSD Unix
machine. Can't seem to keep a lid various spam issues. Can the
sendmail/spamblock major domo in this group give me some tips and tricks
and/our point me to some resources?

have you tried enabling sendmails dns blacklist feature? after enabling 
this the amount of spam traffic was greatly cut down. just add
FEATURE(dnsbl,`relays.ordb.org', `Rejected - see http://ordb.org/') to 
you sendmail mc and rebuild the config. there are a number of free 
blacklist's avialable, i forget why i chose ordb over the others.

before doing this make sure that your domain is NOT on that blacklists!! 
you can do a lookup at any of these site.
