You could take the drive out of the relic and plug it into something
where you could get at the files, backup, all good.<br>

valign="top">no! It is an older IBM and the CDROM wont boot (no BIOS
setting), however the floppy will and I was hoping to have a Knoppix
floppy (ver. 3 or 4), so I could back-up files. The system has a
strong security on it.<br>

Mean-time I am trying two other approaches, as well.<br>
