<DIV><FONT size=2>I installed Fedora core 4 on an IBM thinkpad X41, and am
getting a weird samba error. SMB won't start. If I watch the messages upon
bootup, it gives me the following complaint:</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT size=2>Starting SMB Services: /etc/init.d/functions:
line 83: 2461 aborted</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>Any attempts to start smbd yield "failure". </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>Everything else works pretty much (except wireless, but that's
another note). </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>Any suggestions welcome.</FONT></DIV>
