Just for shits and giggles...... I've been playing with Debian lately,
put it on a box here, tried all sorts with it, mainly because some
software people we have been working with like it as a server, anywho,
I would like to bring this box down to the meeting so some of the
Debian heads might be able to show me some Debian stuff. My first
venture into apt-get and the like, I managed to get Gnome 2.2 installed
and running, but the fonts look like hell. I even managed to get true
type fonts working, but again, overall consistency is not there, gdm
fonts, etc. Debian, can you say archaic installer??? Old packages???? I
realize they like to be secure through the tried and true but come on!
This has nothing on RedHat, unless I can be shown differently at the
meeting. John Neff, I know your into Debian, hope you show and any
other Debian guys. Till then.....<br>
