That may be exactly what it is.. It basically does a startx then runs .xintrc
in the home to start xmms. <br>

I put in the /etc/profile<br>
setterm -powersave off<br>
setterm -powerdown 0<br>
<br>
and rebooted. I'll see tonight if it worked.<br>

it). I have no desktop running, just X and xmms. APMD is not running,
got all power management turned off in the bios, any ideas whats
blanking out the screen?
