<P>I would be excited if I thought it was a solution --- The wierd thing is the piece of hardware that is giving me the fits is at least 7 years old. I'm sure there is support for it, (dead sea scroll on the net show support as far back as v 5.x) it's just that it may no longer be a part of the shipping kernel! I picked up a 7.1 RH distribution from Compaq for the Alpha but it comes up short (does not "see the controller"). I'm sure there is a way, today I picked up a secondary SCSI hard drive to play with tonight, to plug into the on board SCSI controller...I'll keep you posted.
