is the zip disk formatted? the device is hdd, when zip disks come formated
it is a vfat partition on partition numner 4. can you fdisk /dev/hdd and
verify there is a partition on the disk. If not can you create a fat partition
on partition 4?

don't have permission to do this which surprised me considering I was logged
