and burn it to a cd. There's a plethora of extremely sweet tools on there (DoD Style disk wipe, NT/2000/XP offline registry editor and password recovery tool!, a wide assortment of disk tools..).
I'd actually recommend that everybody have 2 cd's- That's one, PHLAK is another. They're invaluable tools for system recovery.

I am backing up some information from a users computer and I was
wondering how could I erase all the data so it makes it impossible or
close to impossible to recover? They have some sensitive data and
would not like the next owner of the computer to be able to view it
easly (or at all). Any help would be great...
