Well, my favorite suggestion is a linux box with two NICs in it. One NIC goes
to the Internet and the other goes to your internal net. The rest is just
making sure you get the right S/W running. I'm particularly fond of shorwall
but there's lots of others. There are even Linux distributions that fit on a
floppy and provide the kinds of capabilities that you're talking about.'
